Lance Burdett is a leading authority on crisis communication, resilience, and mental wellbeing. After a successful career in construction, he spent 22 years with NZ Police – 13 as a crisis negotiator – and trained with elite units in New Zealand, Australia, the UK, and the FBI. He advised on major incidents including the Napier siege and Paremoremo hostage crisis. He holds a Master of Arts in Terrorism, Safety & Security, diplomas in Policing and Business, and is completing a diploma in Positive Psychology and Wellbeing. Through his company, WARN International, he helps individuals and organisations thrive under pressure.
Lance is the author of three bestselling books: Behind the Tape, Dark Side of the Brain, and Anxiety is a Worry (2024), offering practical tools for managing stress and navigating life’s challenges.
