Why Our Stories Matter (Two Sessions)

Peter Burke, journalist and Irish/ NZ historian, presents an interactive seminar on writing family histories. Using his book True to Ireland—sold in New Zealand, Ireland, the USA and Australia—Peter will show how he began a family history then.

As he broadened his research, how the scope of the book grew. He will also share what he has learned about researching, writing, publishing and marketing.


Two sessions: 2pm-4pm and 6.30pm-8.30pm

Venue: Alexander Heritage Library, Meeting Room, Queen’s Park
